Restorative Services

No Need For 2 Appointments! We Now Offer Same Day Crown Services

CEREC Crowns

Have you ever wondered why you have to have two separate appointments to receive your crown? Now you don't have to because of the advanced technology of CEREC.

What is a CEREC crown?
CEREC is a technology for restoring damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to the dentist office. It makes your tooth stronger and more beautiful- all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The CEREC Process:
During your appointment, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the procedure and your dentist will answer any questions you may have. Your dentist will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using CEREC's proprietary software your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function. Then, CEREC will use burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Fillings

A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal functions and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material.

Our office specializes in composite (plastic) resins which are matched to be the same color as your teeth to achieve optimal cosmetics as well as function.

Bridges

Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap -- these two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth -- and a false tooth/teeth in between.

Dentures and Partials

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you've lost all of your natural teeth, whether, from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. That's because dentures make it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth-things that people often take for granted.

Removable partial dentures usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases. Depending on your needs, your dentist will design a partial denture for you. A partial denture may have a metal framework and clasps that connect to your teeth, or they can have other connectors that are more natural looking. In some cases, a removable partial denture is made to attach to your natural teeth with devices called precision attachments. Precision attachments are generally more esthetic than clasps.

Implants

Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth and are designed to blend in with your other teeth. They are an excellent long-term option for restoring your smile. In fact, the development and use of implants is one of the biggest advances in dentistry in the past 40 years. Dental implants are made up of titanium and other materials that are compatible with the human body. They are posts that are surgically placed in the lower jaw, where they function as a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth.

Dental implants are typically placed by an oral surgeon of a periodontist. After healing is complete, our patients return to our office for fabrication of beautiful crowns of bridge work.

Extractions

There are two types of extractions: Simple and surgical.

A simple extraction is done on a tooth that can, most often, be seen when looking in the mouth. There is still a significant amount of tooth surface to be removed with ease.

A surgical extraction is necessary when a tooth has broken to the gum, deteriorated due to cavity, or is no longer visible when looking in the month.

O'Neill Family Dentistry does both simple and surgical extractions and are evaluated by each patients needs to determine which is done.
